Veneer

1. Definition: What are Veneers?

Dental veneers are ultra-thin shells (0.3–0.7 mm) made of high-quality aesthetic porcelain that are bonded directly to the front surface of the teeth
– Main purposes:
1. Conceal imperfections: Stained teeth, chipped teeth, or small gaps between teeth
2. Reshape the teeth: Create evenly aligned, balanced teeth that suit your facial structure.
3. Protect natural enamel: Require minimal teeth preparation compared to traditional crowns

2. Veneer Procedure

  1. Examination & Consultation:
Assess dental imperfections and determine the color tone of teeth
  2. Digital Scan or Impression:
Create a customized design using Digital Smile Design technology
  3. Minimal Tooth Preparation: Gently reduce enamel by 0.3–0.5 mm.
  4. Try-In & Adjustment: Try temporary veneer, adjust shape and color.
  5. Final Placement:
Permanently bond the veneers using light-cured adhesive and check the occlusion.
